SGS is a textile design studio where Diana Lasater shares her passion for quilting, adventure and enthusiasm for color. Every piece is hand crafted and inspired by mid century design. 5 years ago Diana bought a home born in 1950. The home sparked a desire for decor reflecting the time period with a modern twist.
There is a primal quality in making useful modern heirlooms. The feel of a cotton quilt draped over your legs while chilling on the sofa brings a sense of peaceful calm to the soul. The soft fabric put together with loving care then quilted and crafted into a pillow, bag, blanket or wall hanging brings a warmth to the heart.
Diana is an Interior Designer, who grew up in a family of makers. Mom sewed her clothes and made patchwork quilts for each bed. Grandma crocheted, sewed and made many things for her family. The spirit for travel and adventure was instilled in Diana snow skiing, water skiing and long family road trips. In the summer you can find Diana camping at the beach, near a waterfall or surrounded by mountains.

5 out of 5 starsThe seller was very prompt to respond to my convo about adding insurance, and the item was shipped very quickly. It is beautiful. However, I thought I was getting the necklace, including the chain and was a bit surprised to have only gotten the pendant. The description does list the pendant size, but it is shown on a silver chain and listed as a "necklace". This would not deter me from buying from this seller again, but I do think the description should be clear that only the pendant will be sent, no chain.
